International Chair, ThinkFirst Board of Directors



Longtime prevention advocate, Dr. Tetsuo Tatsumi, has assumed the role of International Chairperson for the ThinkFirst National Injury Prevention Board of Directors.

As Chair, Dr. Tatsumi will carry on the landmark work of founding International Chair, Dr. Roberto de Leo. Dr. Tatsumi will continue to guide the expansion of the ThinkFirst global community.

Dr. Tatsumi, born in Maebashi, Japan, received his neurosurgical training at Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He led a successful 30-year private practice in Canton, OH before retiring to California. Dr. Tatsumi has been closely involved with ThinkFirst since 1994 and formerly served as the ThinkFirst Vail Valley Medical Center Sponsoring Physician. Dr. Tatsumi was honored with the prestigious Humanitarian Award from the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
