Some of the most serious injuries are brain and spinal cord injuries. A broken arm heals in about 6 or 8 weeks (arm will work when the cast comes off). With this type of injury you will be able to build that muscle up again and go on with your life as it was before. But if you injure your brain or spinal cord, it wouldn't be so simple.
