ThinkFirst Missouri received two Silver Medal awards from the International Safety Media Award (ISMA) Committee. ISMA is a competitive international awards program designed to recognize the strongest, evidence-based injury prevention media campaigns in the world. CONGRATULATIONS to Julie Philbrook, ThinkFirst of Minneapolis Chapter and Minnesota State Chapter Director, who was recently awarded the Minnesota Champion of Child Safety 2012 award during the 4th Annual Minnesota Child Safety Summit in St. Paul, MN. The award recognizes significant contributions by a person or program in advancing the prevention of unintentional childhood injury in Minnesota.

Echohawk Lefthand, Director of Eve's Fund's ThinkFirst Navajo Chapter, teaching school children how to avoid brain and spinal cord injuries.

We’re thrilled to announce that Eve’s Fund has received our second Quality of Life grant from the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. Representatives from the Reeve Foundation will present the $5,000 grant check in Albuquerque, N.M., on Friday, February 24, the seventh anniversary of Eve’s death. It will be a fitting way to honor her memory.

ThinkFirst of Greater Kansas City received the People Saving People Award from the Kansas Department of Transportation for the impact it has made educating young people about safety belt usage and safe driving practices in the hopes of preventing them from suffering a traumatic injury, or worse, as the result of a motor-vehicle crash.
